Llandysul 

The house is located near the centre of the village. The high street is 200 metres down hill and offers shops, banks, bus station, pubs, cafes, library, information centre and park with children play area and games fields. The canoe club is nearby.  Llandysul's historical church is worth a visit. The river Teifi is famous for its beauty and excellent salmon fishing (permit required) and runs through the town. A short drive takes you to many other places of interest, notably the Heritage Coast, as well as some excellent eateries.

Food Shopping

Spar is open 8am to 10pm daily.
Good whole food shops are in Newcastle Emlyn (8 miles), Lampeter (14 miles) and Carmarthen (20 miles).
Fresh fish and local meat is available in Llandysul, and local organic vegetables can be delivered to the house by arrangement.

On rainy days or in the evening
Visit local pubs and restaurants, play Pool or darts.Go to theatre Mwldan in Cardigan  www.mwldan.co.uk   Go to the leisure centre for a swim, play badminton, work out at the gym. Board games in the house are available too.

Canoe or kayak on the river, play at the free Tennis courts in the village. Visit fantasitc beaches on the nearby Heritage Coast (25 minutes drive).  Walk the footpaths around the area of Llandysul

Cycling possibilities:

There are many quiet roads around the area.
The Brecha Forest is fairly nearby with off road routes for cycling at different levels.
